Puppy Love

For about 4 years Joe and the girls begged and begged me to get a dog.  I would always say ‘No’ because I just wasn’t really an animal kind of person and I knew I would be the one to feed it, walk it, bath it, pick up its poo… the list goes on and on.  In about 2014 we saw ‘Moe’ advertised through a rescue shelter my sister in law was involved with.  Immediately she took me to meet him and boy did I fall in love with that little guy right there and then!  We brought him home within a week, named him Harry Gallen and he hasn’t left my side since.

Then, last year Joe and I had a complete brain snap and went and met a little girl puppy through the same rescue shelter because we were thinking of getting Harry a little friend to play with.  We fell in love with her so quickly that we actually brought her home with us right away!  We named her Luci ‘Skittles’ and it suits her perfect, she is crazy!!

They are so so spoilt.  They live inside and sleep on (or in) our bed and I can’t imagine my life without them even though, yep you guessed it, I feed them, walk them, bath them….

The unconditional love that these two dogs show us is unlike any I could ever imagine.  They are always happy to see all of us which is such a blessing in a world full of chaos and drama.  So what happens though when our furry friends are sick or they die?  I can’t even begin to imagine the loss that is felt.  Recently two friends lost their companions.  They had both been with them for over 10 years.  These are the cards I made my friends to let them know I was thinking of them.

RIP Bella and Jessie x
