This week two people I know lost babies that they were carrying. What do you say? What words can possibly offer some kind of comfort to what they are going through?
As I have been blessed with two healthy children that caused me no problems at all during pregnancy or birth I literally just had no words for my friends.
And when I have no words I know I (like anyone) can often be mistaken for not caring about their pain or seem insensitive to what they are going through.
I need them to know that I care about them and what they are going though, so I have said it with a card. Nothing elaborate or over the top, just a simple card. Just so they know I care.
That is why I love what I do. x
I have to say that the Zoo Babies Stamp Set has been one of my favourites since it was released so it is sad for me to see it retiring at the end of May. There is still time to get your copy of this adorable set before it retires. With that in mind, here is a cute project that I created using the little Rhino.
You can view my tutorial below on how to create this and the list of products available for purchase is below. Simply click on the image of the product you need and it will direct you to my Online Store.
Happy Crafting x
This week I really wanted to use the Shine On Specialty Designer Paper Stack and the matching Sparkle & Shine Stamp Set that I just ‘had to’ have when the 2016 Occasions Catalogue was released.
With a few of the products I buy, I see them in the catalogue and want them right away but when I get them in my hands I either can’t work out what to make or I am scared to cut up the gorgeous paper or ribbon in case what I have in mind doesn’t work out.
For this project I knew I definitely wanted to use the Bermuda Bay and the Watermelon Wonder colours. It was just coming up with designs to compliment them that took me a while. I couldn’t find a lot of inspiration on Pinterest for either of these products which suggested that I may not be the only one struggling. With this in mind, I decided to become a pioneer (I use this word very loosely!) and create a set of 4′ x 4′ Cards.
I am really happy with the versatility of these cards, I feel like I always create Birthday or For You cards but with these by leaving some blank they can be used for a number of different reasons.
If you would like to create these cards, you can either register to attend my class next Tuesday (19th April) by Contacting Me or you can view and purchase the list of products required below that will create all four cards.
Small Heart Punch
Today I am sharing another (yes, another) project I created using the Birthday Blooms Stamp Set. I created this set of ‘Just Because’ cards to highlight the Metallics Glitter Tape from the Sale-A-Bration additional selections.
Once again, I heat embossed the flower in clear and then used a Blender Pen and Stamp Pads to colour it. Then I used the most amazing ‘fussy cutting’ scissors, known in the Stampin Up! World as Paper Snips to cut the flower out.
You can view a full list of the products used below. I know it looks like there are a lot of products used but please be aware the products listed are to recreate all three cards.
Sale-A-Bration ends tomorrow so now is the time to place your $90 (or more) order to receive your freebie/s! You can do so by Contacting Me or by visiting my Online Store.
I started Card Making only maybe 2 years ago and I remember at the time being completely overwhelmed as leading up to this time I was a traditional 12′ x 12′ scrapbooker. I would sit in front of this tiny piece of paper and think ‘how am I going to fit all of this onto that?!’
It’s taken me a while to get used to working with a smaller size base and I’m happy to admit that it’s still a working progress. I still regularly ‘over think’ what I am doing rather than sticking with the basics and remembering ‘less is more’. That is why I have created my ‘Just Simple’ YouTube Tutorials. These tutorials are designed to help people create gorgeous cards – just simply.
Simple techniques and simple to use products but beautiful cards. I hope you enjoy the first of many of these Tutorials ‘Just Simple’ Baby Card Tutorial here.
Don’t forget you can purchase the products required to complete this project by clicking on any of the Product List below or by simply Contacting Me here.
I recently sold a number of my retired Stampin Up! Supplies on a buy and sell Facebook page.
Naturally, I couldn’t just send off the item that was sold, I had to get my current supplies out, make a ginormous mess and create a little Thank you card for each person that purchased from me!
So, just to show you that I know how to make a big mess, here it is…
Ok, so that’s not really how I remember the big, ginormous mess……
Anyway, these are the cute butterfly Thank you cards that I created en mass!

Shaker Cards are very popular at the moment. I think they look fantastic and just add that little bit ‘extra’ to a special card.
For my card below, I really wanted to do something a little bit different to the common shaker card and came up with the following.

Cardstock – Whisper White & Basic Black
Stamp Pad – Staz On Black
Stamp Set – Oh Love
Embellishments – In Colour Sequins, Candy Dots, Strawberry Slush Thick Twine, Chevron Embossing Folder
