Sunflowers for Mothers Day

Last week I taught 2 Mother’s Day classes. In both classes we created this amazing Sunflower Gift Box and a matching card.

Cased from the very talented UK Stampin’ Up! demonstrator Connie Collins, I changed out a few elements to suit my project. These included the shape of petals on the Sunflower and the colour of the belly band.

I absolutely loved putting this project together. Admittedly, there was a lot of prep work involved but once that was done the sunflower was fun to build as there were no rules. I could just ‘wing it’ and put petals wherever I liked and knew that it would just work.

I have done a YouTube tutorial for this project but I am having trouble uploading it. I will post it as soon as it cooperates (insert eye roll here).  In the meantime, you can view and purchase the products required for this project below.

A very Belated Happy Mothers Day to all of you Queens reading. 💜

Birthday Blooms Gift Bag & Note Card

So I was so excited this week to start my classes again for the year and there’s no better way to start it with some ice creams especially with the weather in Brisbane consistently exceeding 30 degrees celcius each day.

This Gift Bag and Note Card set was initially designed just so I could incorporate the adorable little Honeycomb Embellishments on a project. I am generally not a ‘flowers’ kind of gal, but the colours in the Birthday Bouquet DSP matched those little embellishments perfectly and are just so beautiful that I couldn’t help myself with this stack!

Christmas Travel Baubles

My sister (who I know I have mentioned here before) is a Travel Agent (I’ve probably mentioned that too…) and this year asked me to create a special Christmas Gift for each of her work colleagues.

I knew that I had seen in Myer some World Globe Christmas Baubles and started by purchasing these, then the ideas flowed from there!!

On each globe I marked in silver glitter where in the world they had travelled this year, added a large red bow, a cute ornament hanger and created a tag using my Number Thinlits, Red Glimmer Paper and Project Life Journalling Cards.

Of course they were then packaged in boxes created using Designer Series Paper and the Box Punch Board with lots of gorgeous ribbon and sequins (Oops! I forgot to take pics of those…. 😫)
