On Day 4 of my Countdown to Christmas I shared with you a Berry Burst and Powder Pink coloured Christmas card.

Today I am sharing cards I made using the same card template as Day 4 but have used different colours and/or stamps. If you are making multiple cards this is a great way to quickly create lots of cards with completely different looks. Enjoy!

There is nothing better than a Christmas at the beach – my favourite place in the whole world!

Day 5 Christmas Card inspiration. More non traditional Christmas colours, this time coupled with the Large Letter Framelits and Flurry of Wishes stamp set.

Colours used for the pink card were Berry Burst and Powder Pink. Colour for the blue card (my favourite) were Night of Navy and Pool Party.

Traditional Christmas colours or big? That is the question…. for me, it’s a Not!

This cute stamp set is again the Hearts come Home stamp set. Non traditional colours used were Berry Burst and Blushing Bride mixed with a little Silver Glimmer Paper.

How gorgeous is this stamp set! Called Hearts come Home, it makes a super cute Christmas card but would also be great to make a set of cards for a friend who has moved house.

You will notice that each of these cards are exactly the same except the base colour. Next time you are mass producing cards, try changing out your base colour for not only a different effect but to make sure all of your cards aren’t identical.

Using Merry Little Christmas Designer Series Paper with the Cookie Cutter set and a fancy fold makes a really cute and really simple card that can be mass produced.

I always love the red glittery noses that can be punched out using a 1/2 inch circle punch for the reindeer.

It feels like it has been forever since I posted anything here. Actually, let’s be honest, it is!!

Since I last posted, life has been crazy!! I have picked up an amazing new job and am now working 5 days a week, we have moved out of our house, lived with friends for 7 weeks and commuted almost an hour each way every day to work and school and then moved back to North Lakes. Both of our girls have finished school for the year with the eldest graduating Primary School.

Finally, after 10 weeks of chaos, I have my craft room unpacked and can create again. As Christmas is sneaking up on us, I thought I would post a Christmas card that I have created each day from now until Christmas using Stampin Up! Products. I hope these posts inspire you to create something you love!

I have been stuck in a creative rut again. Between ‘real’ work and kids after school activities we are so busy at the moment that I really don’t have as much time as I would like to devote to my crafting. The little time I do have I’ve been spending CASEing to help me feel like I’m achieving something when I have time to hit my craft room. How do you manage your time vs your creative needs??

Today I hosted my monthly class for 5 ladies who so graciously gave up their time to create with me. This was this months project. It was a mix of a few different things I had seen on Pinterest put together with my own spin added.

Featuring the Colourful Seasons Bundle, watercolouring and a 3D envelope to store the cards in, all of the ladies loved the project and the colours. You can view the list of products used below.

To create the 3D envelope I used my Envelope Punch Board. The cardstock was sized 8 1/4 x 8 1/4. The first punch and score was lined up at 3 1/8 then moved to 4 1/8 where it was punched and scored again. The paper was turned as per the instructions and punched and scored on both score lines. This was then repeated for the remaining 2 sides. Snip out the pieces as shown below and glue together! Super easy, right?! Just needs a cute belly band with some layers and texture!

‘You were Supermum and then you lost all of your superpowers. Now you need coffee.’ Ava, 10.

Rewind 10 years from today and I am ashamed to admit it but… I hated coffee. The smell, the taste, I hated it all. I am sure this hatred came from either a) tasting my mum and dads instant Nescafé coffee that they drank when we were growing up or b) from the dentist who would lean over me when she was changing the bands on my braces, her breath always smelt of coffee.

When I think back to this time 10 years ago it is completely mind boggling to me that I hadn’t discovered ‘real’ coffee. I had two kids 21 months apart with my eldest being barely two years old. I went back to work full time when my youngest was 8 months old. Apart from daycare, we didn’t hire any help. I did most of it on my own. Can I just ask ‘How did I possibly function??’

About 5 years ago I discovered Gloria Jeans White Chocolate Mochas. With literally a truckload of sugar in them they tasted gooood! They definitely didn’t taste like coffee. Unfortunately they did contribute to me putting on about 10kgs though.

After maybe 2 years I decided to lose weight (that’s a story for another day!) and started to drink Skim Lattes. I still drink them. Every day. Sorry, but I’m not sorry. I’m a self confessed coffee snob. I don’t make my own coffee, it’s so much nicer when someone else makes it. I love a coffee date with friends or a stroll with a coffee at the beach or around the lake. It’s totally ‘my time’.

There is a point to me telling you this! When I saw Stampin’ Up!’s Coffee Cafe Bundle in the new Annual Catalogue I had to have it!! When I did get it though, I was completely overwhelmed with the colours of the Designer Series Paper. They were just so far out of my comfort zone. And then even creating a coffee cup with the Stamps and Framelits I really had trouble matching colours. 

This is eventually what I came up with for my June class. This would be a super cute gift to give my favourite coffee date friend. There are three simple note cards that all fit into the little box that holds envelopes too.
